Safety and Environment Committee

Purpose

To encourage workplace safety and environmental awareness throughout the industry.  To provide guidance and information addressing actions metalforming companies can take to meet occupational safety and environmental responsibilities.

Scope

  • To evaluate, recommend and develop concepts and programs promoting workplace safety and environmental responsibility.

  • To review and interpret EPA and OSHA regulations affecting the industry, commenting to appropriate agencies when necessary.

  • To develop and promote conferences and seminars for industry personnel on environmental and safety-related topics.

  • To collect and disseminate safety statistics and offer awards for safety performance.

  • To interact with governmental agencies, trade associations, insurance companies, the National Safety Council and others on safety matters.
