EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR CLIPS & CLAMPS INDUSTRIES EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION AWARD
The Clips & Clamps Award recognizes an educational institution (either public or private) that provides exemplary training and education services to companies in the metalforming industry by:
1. delivering coursework which directly enhances skills and knowledge of manufacturing personnel within the metalforming industry;
2. working with a company or consortium of companies in the metalforming industry to provide employee training, pre-employment training, or other educational services;
3. providing clearly defined benefits to metalforming companies;
4. providing clearly defined benefits to individuals in the industry.
The Committee does not intend to second-guess the institution on the inherent value of the training being offered. The Committee's evaluation will be guided by items 1-3 above, plus a 4th item, the presentation of the material. A maximum of 120 points will be awarded by each evaluator based upon the following criteria.
There are four overall categories; a maximum of 10 points on a scale of 0-10 will be awarded for each sub-paragraph within the first four categories (I-A, I-B, etc.) plus 10 points total for the Presentation. Total maximum is 120 points.

3. Benefits of the Program to the Metalforming Industry
A. Number/Percentage of Students Placed in the Industry. (10 points max.)
B. Number of Companies in which Students are Placed. (10 points max.)
C. Progression of Incumbent Employees within a Company as a Result of Training. (10 points max.)
4. Benefits of the Educational Program to Employees and Potential Employees
A. Does the Program Award a Diploma/Certificate/Credential? (10 points max.)
5. Presentation (10 points max.)
A. Was the Award Entry Prepared Well and Completed Accurately?
B. Did the Entry Address These Award Criteria?
C. Was Supporting Documentation Presented Clearly?
