Meeting Details:
Please join us for this new presentation and discussion presented by Mr. Pat Ontrop, Sales and Marketing Manager from Pax Products, Inc. Pat started his career at Pax Products in 2007. Pat is a professional engineer who has been working in the metalforming industry for 25 years. Throughout this time he has worked with a wide variety of stamping applications in Europe and North America, has been awarded several patents and has authored numerous technical articles related to different aspects of metalforming.
Pax Products, Inc. was established in 1980 by its sister company, Pax Machine Works, a high-volume metal stamping company. Incorporated in 1948 by Oscar Pax, Pax Machine Works began as a farm machinery repair business that evolved into a tool and die repair shop in the late 50s, and into its current status of a top metal stamping company.
Pax Products is the pioneer and industry leader in the design and fabrication of premier in-die lubrication systems. Since 1980, Pax Products has been giving stampers the opportunity to be more productive through increased press speeds, increased die life, improved part quality and reduced lubricant consumption. Each of the 21 presses housed at Pax Machine Works Division utilizes the equipment manufactured by Pax Products, which include stock/die lubrication systems, low-profile conveyors and die door barrier guards. Using these products on a daily basis has made Pax Machine Works a valuable asset for research and development of each product. Pax lubrication systems were designed by skilled tool and die craftsmen and tested in their own stamping facility. Pax lubrication systems provide "pressurized" fluid to the spray nozzles and eliminate priming issues. This advantage allows the system to operate more efficiently and allows for increased productivity.
This presentation will cover:
- Introduction of various types of lubrication systems
- Spraying of thick and thin lubricants
- Application methods, case studies and cost benefits of systems
- In-die lubrication system arrangements and components (spray nozzles, tips, switches, mounts and adapters)
- Containing, collecting and recycling die lubrication
