Purpose

Quality Committee

To encourage continuous quality improvement by providing metalformers with information, training and guidance to meet the quality expectations of the customer.

Scope

  • To evaluate, recommend and develop concepts and programs promoting quality in the workplace.

  • To provide networking opportunities for quality specialists.

  • To disseminate information about quality through the use of electronic communications.

  • To provide benchmarks for measuring performance on quality.

  • To interact within the metalforming industry to assess key quality issues.


Annual Quality Professionals Roundtable
September 24-25
Chicago, IL

Metalforming-industry quality professionals are invited to join their peers at the annual quality professionals program on September 24-25 at the Four Points by Sheraton Chicago/O’Hare. This intensive day-and-a-half event includes a plant tour of Combined Metals of Chicago (CMC); a networking dinner and agenda setting session; and lively roundtable discussion on hot topics affecting quality professionals such as the impact of lubrication on quality, customer complaints, internal communications, digital/data collection and managing generational differences.

Both PMA members and nonmembers are welcome to participate. The cost of attending is $250 per person for members and $350 per person for nonmembers. For more information about this meeting or to register to attend, contact Allison Grealis at 216/901-8800 or agrealis@pma.org.

This committee typically meets four times a year. September (face-to-face), November (conference call to judge the Parkview Excellence in Quality Assurance Award), March (face-to-face at METALFORM), and in June/July by conference call to plan for the annual roundtable.
