Founded in 1923 and now in our 95th year, Superior Die Set is a family owned and operated U.S.manufacturer of die sets and related die components. Superior inventories 6 grades of material including A36 Modified, 4 grades of 4000 series steel alloy, and Fortal, a 7000 series aluminum stronger than steel. Our services includes oxy-plasma-waterjet cutting, rotary grinding to 160”, reciprocate grinding to 80”, heat treating, shot blasting, fabricating, vertical and horizontal machining up to 180” for one part to medium production with a crane capacity to 30 tons. Superior now offers precision edge milling services for plates up to 16" thick x 48" square. This new technology precisely squares plates within .002" with better than a 32 Ra finish at a high-speed pace for reduced costs. All of these services are located ‘under one roof’ to better service our customers and reduce logistic time and expenses.
