Next Generation Leaders Division
Supporting and growing talent in the next generation of metalforming industry leaders, Next Generation Leaders Division is dedicated to developing industry knowledge and leadership qualities for its members. Activities are open to anyone from a PMA member company who is on a path of professional growth, a new or emerging leader, and will benefit from interaction with others in similar stages of leadership development.

Meetings & Events
Leadership Academy
PMA's Leadership Academy exposes members to various departments within a metalforming company in order to gain an understanding of overall company operation.
Next Generation Committees
PMA's Next Generation Division has three committees made up of PMA member volunteers. Service on Next Generation committees requires time throughout the year for conference calls and e-mail exchanges. Face-to-face meetings may occur if necessary, but most committee business is conducted via e-mail and teleconference. The term of service for a committee member is two years. Division officers and committees work together with PMA staff to plan and implement division meetings and activities.
Membership Committee—Identify candidates throughout the industry and devise strategies to increase membership of PMA's Next Gen Division (utilizing PMA's resources)
Program Committee—Help identify and choose dynamic speakers, hot topics and venues for division activities to meet goals of the division strategic plan
Planning Committee—Develop long- and short-term goals for the division by surveying members and identifying the critical issues affecting members
Meet the Leaders
Rick Bachman, 2011-2012 Chair
Vice President Logistics
Feintool North America
"It is my pleasure to be taking over for Jeff Aznavorian as chair of the PMA Next Generation Leaders Division. The last couple years have been really tough on all of us in the metalforming industry. The downturn in the economy, the automotive industry and the markets have put tremendous pressure on our companies. Now more than ever is the right time to get involved in our trade association. Get engaged to help develop new skills,
network with people like you and help to build a sustainable business. It is up to us to
grow and develop ourselves and this division. I look forward to working with you all."
Ben Barnett, 2011-2012 Vice Chair
Vice President
