Kathleen Buse
Director, ERC

Dr. Kathleen Buse is founder and president of Advancing Women in STEM™, an organization that provides executive strategies for the retention and advancement of women.  She also works at Case Western Reserve University where she is the faculty director of the Leadership Lab for Women and an adjunct professor in the Doctor of Management program at the Weatherhead School of Management.

Kathleen began her career as a process engineer at Kodak Park in Rochester NY. Throughout her 25-year career in industry, she worked in various technical and leadership roles in organizations manufacturing synthetic and other specialty chemicals, polyester, photographic film, pressure sensitive labels, paints and aerosols. 

She earned her PhD from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University; MS in electrical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a BS in chemical engineering and engineering & public policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
