How to Get the Most from Membership
LEGAL/REGULATORY ASSISTANCE
Regulatory Hotline
Answers to your regulatory concerns may be just a phone call away. PMA members have unlimited use of a toll-free regulatory hotline to get answers to questions related to OSHA or EPA matters. From time to time, staff may engage other specialists to assist you.
Legal Hotline
Receive three hours of FREE professional legal assistance annually. PMA special counsel Douglas B.M. Ehlke has more than 20 years of expertise in representing the industry in OSHA, EPA, employment and product liability issues.
Safety Sense Bulletins
Stay informed. Safety Sense bulletins detail new ANSI standards and OSHA and EPA regulations as well as provide guidance for compliance. They also alert your company to impending regulatory changes, and remind you about important reporting requirements, such as OSHA's Form 300A and EPA's SARA 312 and 313 reporting.
Safety Report
The Report contains data on average incidence rates for workplace injuries and illnesses. Benchmark your company's safety performance against others. Designed specifically for the industry, data is broken down by type of metalforming process and company size for relevancy.
E-mail Discussion Group
Network with other environment, health and safety professionals in an e-mail discussion group. This valuable resource allows you to ask questions as well as learn what others are doing to improve workplace safety.
Safety Award
The award, sponsored by the Pitcher Insurance Agency, recognizes an effective company safety program. Information from the awards program is often used to educate the industry on best practices used to operate more productively and safely. The winner receives a cash prize and valuable recognition.
Safety & Environment Committee
Comprised of members, this committee encourages workplace safety and environmental awareness. Responsibilities include developing educational programs and products, reviewing EPA and OSHA regulations and providing comments to government agencies.
Products & Services
Safety & Environment Committee members have developed training videos, books and seminars that can help you meet OSHA requirements and make your company a safer place to work. For additional information, see the PMA training brochure or contact a staff member.
