METALFORM

CLEVELAND, OH—January 10, 2003—The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) will debut its regional METALFORM series of exhibitions in Louisville, KY, March 30-April 1, 2004. Regional METALFORM exhibitions occur in even-numbered years and offer exhibitors lower-cost opportunities to reach regional markets across North America. Booth sizes will be smaller than at traditional METALFORM exhibitions (maximum booth size is 400 net square feet) and target audiences will be concentrated around a regional market for metalforming machine tools and related products. The Kentucky International Convention Center, located in downtown Louisville, is easily accessible to an estimated 5,825 metalforming companies located within a 300 mile radius of Louisville. The city is situated in the center of three major interstates, I-65, I-64 and I-71, providing short drive times from neighboring states and metalforming centers including Nashville, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton and Huntsville. The Louisville International Airport is just 10 minutes from the convention center and serves all major North American markets with direct flights. Louisville is also conveniently located for major automotive and appliance industry suppliers. METALFORM-Louisville will provide exhibiting companies exposure to these important markets. Introduction of the new regional METALFORM exhibitions was approved by PMA’s Board of Directors in February 2002 as part of its response to the changing needs of its exhibitors by implementing a 24-month show strategy comprised of one large, must-see biennial METALFORM exhibition, scaled-down METALFORM-Regional show(s) with limited booth sizes and an annual MetalMecánica exhibition for those who are interested in targeting the Mexican market. Since its inception in 1981, METALFORM has been the most focused metalforming event in the industry, showcasing stamping, tool and die, fabricating, metal spinning, roll forming, slide forming and other related metalforming technologies.
