PMA and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) entered into an alliance agreement in November 2005 to promote worker safety and health in the metalforming industry. The alliance was renewed in 2007. Through the alliance, PMA and OSHA worked together to reduce exposure to ergonomic hazards and address press safety issues such as machine guarding and lockout/tagout to prevent injuries.
NEW! PMA is pleased to announce its new lockout/tagout checklist and general machine guarding checklist, developed through the PMA-OSHA alliance. Use these checklists to identify potential issues related to lockout/tagout and machine guarding at your facility.
