PMA and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) entered into an alliance agreement to promote worker safety and health in the metalforming industry. In particular, PMA and OSHA are working together to reduce exposure to ergonomic hazards and address press safety issues such as machine guarding and lockout/tagout to prevent injuries.
The alliance agreement outlines how PMA and OSHA's collaborative relationship will benefit the industry. See the progress that has been made.
NEW! PMA is pleased to announce its new lockout/tagout checklist and general machine guarding checklist, developed through the PMA-OSHA alliance. Use these checklists to identify potential issues related to lockout/tagout and machine guarding at your facility.
Support 2012 NAOSH Week
PMA once again has joined with the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and OSHA to support the North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week. Held May 6-12, 2012, the week is intended to raise awareness about occupational safety, health and the environment. This year’s theme, “Safety: What Every Business Needs,” will focus on providing small and mid-size businesses with key workplace safety resources. PMA encourages companies to recognize NAOSH Week in their facilities. Visit www.asse.org/naosh for more information.
