Jeff Bennett, Founder and President, Tool Planners, Inc.
Jeff was raised working in his father's tool and die shop. After achieving a degree in engineering, he worked as a process engineer, tool designer, manager and shop owner. His areas of expertise include cost estimating, tool and automation design and contract manufacturing management. Jeff is founder and president of Tool Planners Inc., serving the metal stamping industry with training, planning services and software products for planning and cost estimating metal stampings and dies.
Joseph Hama, Territory Manager, Forming Technologies Inc.
Rick Tremblay, Applications Engineer, Forming Technologies Inc.
Rick Tremblay has nearly 25 years of experience in the automotive/tooling industry, starting as a tool and die apprentice and now working as an applications engineer for Forming Technologies Inc. (FTI). As a certified tool and die maker, Rick spent 15 years building, maintaining and repairing automotive tooling, primarily progressive and transfer tooling. In 2008, he worked in the engineering department in a large die build and stamping company where he was responsible for set-up and analysis of part formability (incremental) and designing progressive and transfer tooling. In 2017, Rick joined FTI and expanded his knowledge of costing and what companies and estimators need to stay on top in an increasingly competitive market.
Peter Ulintz, Technical Director, Precision Metalforming Association
Peter has worked in the metal stamping and tool and die industries since 1978. He worked for Anchor Manufacturing Group in Cleveland, OH, for 28 years prior to joining PMA in 2015 as technical director. His background includes tool and die making, tool engineering, process engineering, engineering management and product development. Peter speaks regularly at PMA technical seminars and conferences. He also is president of the North American Deep Drawing Research Group, and writes the column for Tooling by Design in MetalForming magazine.
