The privately held company, formerly known as Intricate Metal Forming Company, was founded in 1988 by Roy MacCormack and Scot MacCormack in Beacon Falls, Conn., as a specialized metal stamper providing milled end, radius, burr-free contact pins for leading automotive industry suppliers, including Delphi and 3M.
The company grew quickly, in part by forging a reputation within the metal-stamping industry for quality and customer satisfaction, but also by expanding its focus to include designing and manufacturing a diverse array of connectors and contacts for leading companies in the automotive, electronics and telecommunications industries, including Samtec, Ford, GM, Motorola, Cisco Systems, Northern Telecom, and Lucent Technologies.
