About Nucor Steel
Nucor Steel Berkeley’s Beam Division produces 4- to 16-in. hot-rolled wide flange shapes, standard beams, housing beams, channel, angles and flats. It began casting and rolling material in November 1998. The rolling mill has an annual capacity of more than 900,000 tons. Its melt shop utilizes the continuous casting process, producing a series of semi-finished beam blanks, blooms, or billets, depending on the finished product and its size.
