For more than four decades, PMA’s business reports have delivered critical industry intelligence to help manufacturers strengthen both operational performance and long-term strategy. Today, that legacy has expanded through Metalforming Insights and Economic Insights—a powerful combination of benchmarking data and forward-looking market analysis designed for executive decision-making.
Participation unlocks access to exclusive, data-rich reports available only to contributors. Through Metalforming Insights, companies receive customized benchmarking across financials, operations, sales and workforce—providing a clear view of how their performance compares to industry peers. Economic Insights complements this with quarterly macroeconomic analysis and metalforming-specific trends, helping leaders anticipate market shifts and plan with confidence.
All data submitted is kept strictly confidential, with results presented in aggregate to protect individual company information. Select reports also include tailored views of your company’s performance, turning your data into actionable intelligence.
As a PMA member-only benefit, these proprietary reports are reserved for participating companies, providing a distinct competitive advantage and making membership a valuable investment for organizations committed to deeper insights, stronger performance and more informed decision-making.
PMA offers two types of industry data to PMA members:
Gives you personalized data to see how your company fits within the industry.
Provides the big picture on the current state of the economy and how it affects metalformers. Economic Insights will be available starting March 2026.
PMA partners with Wipfli LLC to provide these reports to PMA members. By partnering with Wipfli, we are combining manufacturing, metalforming and market expertise to provide an unmatched resource of business-critical data and insights for PMA members.
