The Precision Metalforming Association Educational Foundation (PMAEF), in partnership with the Precision Metalforming Association Cleveland District, has awarded a scholarship to a local student pursuing a career in the metalforming industry.
Michael Romine, who is studying electro-mechanical engineering at Miami University, received a $1,500 scholarship during PMAEF’s 2026 scholarship cycle.
“The PMA Educational Foundation is proud to partner with PMA’s Cleveland District to invest in the future of manufacturing,” said Connie King, PMAEF executive director. “We’re excited to support Michael Romine as he prepares for a career in our industry, and we look forward to helping more students pursue manufacturing careers through additional scholarships in 2027.”
PMAEF will accept applications for the 2027 scholarship cycle from October 5, 2026, through January 31, 2027.
Scholarship applicants must be a high school senior and/or formally enrolled in a post-secondary metalforming/manufacturing/technology/engineering program; trades job training/apprenticeship; or a machining, CNC, tool & die, welding or stamping certificate program at an accredited institution with 20 or more contact hours.
Since the PMAEF scholarship program launched in 2020, nearly $300,000 has been awarded to aspiring industry professionals. More information about the scholarship program, including eligibility requirements and the 2027 application process, is available on the PMAEF scholarship webpage.
