CLEVELAND, OH—July 2, 2025—The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Steve Koets as member engagement manager. In this role, Koets will help lead efforts to increase involvement within PMA’s local district communities and the association.
Prior to joining the PMA staff, Koets spent nearly 20 years at PMA member company Pridgeon and Clay, Inc. (P&C) in Grand Rapids, MI, most recently serving as global director of business development. During his career at P&C, he excelled in many disciplines including product development, automotive-market forecasting, manufacturing-cost analysis, benchmarking, metals-market research, and analysis and organizational leadership.
Koets had been actively involved with PMA since 2011, helping to create the association’s Management Development Academy program and serving as the instructor for its sales and marketing course. He also was a member of the PMA West Michigan District board for many years, including leading the district as chair for the last three years.
“We are thrilled to welcome Steve to the PMA team to strengthen our local districts and provide our members with outstanding service,” said David Klotz, PMA president. “Steve’s vast knowledge of the metalforming industry and his passion for PMA, as well as his long-standing relationships with PMA members, make him an outstanding addition to our staff.”
Koets will work closely with PMA’s other member engagement manager, Randy Kish, as well as with the entire district and membership teams.
“I am so excited to work alongside Steve,” said Kish. “During his service as chair of PMA West Michigan, district membership grew significantly as did participation in district events and initiatives. Steve’s innovative ideas, including promoting PMA members at industry events such as the Advanced Manufacturing Expo and International Auto Show, and launching radio and billboard campaigns in the region, led to increased visibility for PMA-member capabilities while attracting students to careers in the industry. We look forward to launching more creative ways to support our members in PMA districts across North America.”
PMA is the full-service trade association representing the $137-billion metalforming industry of North America—the industry that creates precision metal products using stamping, fabricating, spinning, slide forming and roll forming technologies, and other value-added processes. Its more than 900 member companies also include suppliers of equipment, materials and services to the industry. PMA leads innovative member companies toward superior competitiveness and profitability through advocacy, networking, statistics, the PMA Educational Foundation, FABTECH tradeshows, and MetalForming magazine.
