Women in Manufacturing™ Event: Automotive Company Executives to Discuss Challenges/Opportunities for Women in the Automotive Industry

CLEVELAND, OH—April 8, 2014—Women in Manufacturing™ (WiM) and the Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF) will co-host the third annual Women in Automotive luncheon and panel discussion featuring leading women manufacturers from the automotive industry. The event will take place on April 30, 2014 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Baronette Renaissance Hotel in Novi, MI.

Co-located at the Precision Metalforming Association’s 21st annual Automotive Parts Suppliers Conference, the panel features Anita Burke, vehicle chief engineer (2015 GMC Canyon), General Motors Company; Carol Jean “CJ” Milner, supplier account manager, Renault Nissan Purchasing Organization; Marcy Klevorn, director, office of the CIO, Ford Motor Company; and Sonia Rief, director, exterior, thermal and accessory engineering, Nissan North America.  They will share their experiences and address critical issues affecting women in the automotive sector.  Laurie Harbour, president and CEO of Harbour Results, will serve as the moderator.

In addition to the networking lunch and panel discussion, the program includes a brief forecast on the state of women in automotive and a question-and-answer session.

This popular event sold out last year with more than 100 women in attendance, so those wishing to participate should register early. Cost to attend is $55 per person for WiM/AWAF/PMA/OESA members and $75 per person for nonmembers. Table sponsorships also are available. No charge for accredited media.
