Sienna is a dedicated welding student at Collin College with a strong record of academic achievement, industry certifications and hands-on experience. She currently holds a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Her competitive success includes high placements at TXHSWS events, a top weld score at the FFA Ag Mechanics competition, and a 5th place team finish at the state level. In SkillsUSA, she earned 3rd place at the district level and received a perfect weld score for her bumper project at state. She is currently preparing to compete in the SkillsUSA state fabrication competition.
In addition to competition, Sienna led the fabrication of a commemorative bench for Groves Elementary, demonstrating both leadership and technical ability. She holds certifications in AWS D1.1, AWS D9.1, OSHA 10-hour and OSHA 30-hour safety training. Her passion for welding, particularly GTAW and aerospace applications, is inspired by her father’s work in carpentry and welding and fueled by her commitment to continuous learning.
Sienna’s goal is to complete her Associate of Applied Science in Welding degree and gain practical industry experience before pursuing a bachelor’s degree. She aspires to earn her Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and Certified Welding Educator (CWE) credentials and eventually become an educator in the welding field. She also hopes to broaden her expertise in related areas such as engineering and machining. With her strong work ethic, leadership qualities and deep passion for welding, Sienna is committed to becoming a positive force in the industry and mentoring the next generation of skilled professionals.
