Peter Ulintz
Technical Director, Precision Metalforming Association 


Peter Ulintz worked in the metal stamping and tool and die industries for 37 years prior to joining PMA in 2015 as technical director. His background includes tool and die making, die processing and design, engineering management, and product development. Peter speaks regularly at PMA technical seminars and conferences. He is past president of the North American Deep Drawing Research Group, and authors the Tooling by Design column in MetalForming magazine. As PMA’s technical director, Peter leads PMA’s in-plant training services and products, and plays an integral role in the creation of PMA’s workforce development products, including METALFORM EDU online training curriculums.

Jeff Fredline has more than 40 years’ experience in the metal stamping industry. His work in the industry includes machine repair and rebuilding, engineering and engineering management, sales management, and general company management. 

Jeff is a highly-engaged member leader, active on the PMA Educational Foundation (PMAEF) Board of Trustees, Treasurer for the PMA Tennessee and Southeast Districts, frequent PMA trainer and speaker, and PMAEF workforce development committee member.

Bill Hickey
Chairman, Lapham Hickey Steel Corp. 

 

Bill Hickey is chairman of Lapham-Hickey Steel Corp., a steel service center founded in 1926. This family-owned and operated company has 10 locations with approximately 600 employees, and is currently ranked as one of the top 50 service centers in the United States.

 Bill has held several positions within Lapham-Hickey since his employment at the company began in 1975. He has been in his current position since 2018. Bill is a frequent PMA signature event and national seminar speaker, is engaged in PMA executive networking, and has served on the PMA Educational Foundation Board of Trustees. 

Bill also has held chapter and national leadership positions in MSCI and currently is a member of the Chairman’s Emeritus Council.

James Barrett
President, Link Electric and Safety Control


James Barrett has a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and is president of Link Electric & Safety Control in Nashville, TN. He has 30 years of experience designing and applying safety, control, and automation equipment for the metal stamping industry.

Link has been a PMA member company since 1976, so James’ involvement started early. He was a founding member of PMA’s Next Generation Leaders Division, and previously served as a member of PMA’s Safety and Environmental Committee and as chair of the Government Relations Committee. James currently serves as an associate director on PMA’s Board of Directors  and is a long-time member of the joint PMA/NTMA One Voice Government Affairs Team.

Robert Anderson
Technical Services Manager, Tower Metalworking Fluids


Bob Anderson is a technical services manager with Tower Metalworking Fluids. He has worked in the metalworking industry for more than 30 years as a tool and die maker, tooling designer, and in engineering and management. His expertise has helped companies realize process improvements, cost reductions, improved profitability, reduced environmental impact and increased product quality.

Tower originally joined PMA in 1969. Several employees are highly engaged, including Bob, who previously served as chair of the PMA Indiana District for more than five years.
