From a young age, Samuel Osborne has known that engineering was the path he wanted to pursue. His passion for the field is fueled by a deep love for racing and aircraft, and a lifelong fascination with how things work.
Recognized for his natural talent in STEM subjects, Samuel has always been drawn to problem-solving and technical challenges. His ultimate dream is to work for a Formula One team—specifically contributing to the design and production of mechanical systems and parts for the car.Samuel understands that engineers behind the scenes may not receive the same recognition as the drivers, but that isn’t his motivation. What matters most is the pride of knowing he contributed to a global victory, something that would bring immense satisfaction and personal fulfillment. Eventually, he aims to become a race engineer, responsible for monitoring tire wear, fuel consumption and mechanical stress during races, using data to guide the driver through strategic decisions.
These goals are backed by a strong academic foundation. As a three-year member of the ACT STEM Club, Samuel has scored above a 25 in both the math and science sections of the ACT. He has also maintained straight As in every math and science course throughout his education. Samuel is confident in his ability to thrive in the engineering field. With a mind wired for numbers and a gift for solving technical problems, he is passionate about using his skills to make a meaningful impact.
Congratulations, Samuel! We wish you the best of luck!
