Caylee Bolton, a recipient from the Southeast District, plans to attend Georgia Trade School immediately after graduating from high school to officially begin her career in welding. What draws her to this trade is the unique combination of precision engineering and hands-on craftsmanship. She finds great satisfaction in the process of joining metal together to create structures and components that are both strong and enduring, serving critical roles in infrastructure and construction. Caylee looks forward to the rigorous training she will receive at trade school, knowing it will provide the foundational skills necessary to confidently enter the welding profession.
After completing trade school, Caylee intends to pursue a career in ironwork, where she can apply her welding expertise in challenging and rewarding environments. By the end of her training, she plans to become a certified traveling welder, allowing her to gain valuable experience while working on a variety of projects. Her long-term goal is to contribute to international projects, expanding her knowledge and skills through diverse hands-on experiences across different industries and locations.
Within a few years of working in the field, Caylee also aims to earn her Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification. Achieving this credential will allow her to play an important role in ensuring quality control, workplace safety and compliance with industry standards throughout the construction and manufacturing sectors. Her commitment to advancing her career reflects both her ambition and dedication to excellence within the welding profession.
Caylee is proud to be a member of the National Technical Honor Society, an achievement that demonstrates her commitment to academic excellence and technical education. She also earned her high school welding certification upon graduation. These achievements reflect her determination, strong work ethic and dedication to mastering her craft.
