Chicago, IL—February 7, 2023—Top metalforming industry suppliers will showcase their capabilities and present the latest technologies to manufacturers from Chicago and surrounding regions at the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) Chicago District Suppliers Night on April 13. The event will take place at Venuti’s Banquet Hall, 2251 W. Lake St., Addison, IL, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. PMA’s Suppliers Night brings together manufacturers and service providers to metal stamping, fabricating, spinning, slide forming and roll forming companies in the region. More than 200 suppliers and manufacturers are expected to attend, and registration is open and free for attendees.
“Suppliers Night is a great opportunity for manufacturers to visit with potential suppliers for key areas of their business, evaluate their offerings and engage in discussions while enjoying Venuti’s beautiful setting,” said Bill Reda, PMA Chicago District Chair and sales engineer for Tower Metalworking Fluids in Chicago. “The event is also an excellent way to network, meet peers and get more involved in the precision metalforming industry.”
The PMA Chicago District Suppliers Night is supported by MetalForming magazine and MZN Management Group, a top-ranked, women-owned boutique executive recruiting firm located in Deerfield, IL. A new feature for this year’s event includes brief “pulse of the industry” presentations that highlight the latest trends in technology and address hot topics related to management and workforce development.
“Manufacturers are struggling to find talent and we are bringing in MZN Management this year to help attendees learn best practices and innovative ways to find workers,” said Brian Evans, PMA Chicago District Vice Chair and president of Pacific Press Technologies in Mt. Carmel, IL. “MZN works with manufacturers in the Chicago area and across the country that can provide a farther reach to help companies in our industry fill their open positions with quality employees.”
The PMA Chicago District, in partnership with the PMA Educational Foundation (PMAEF), will be awarding scholarships this spring to individuals seeking careers in the metalforming industry. The deadline to apply is April 10, 2023, and details on submitting an application are available on the PMAEF scholarship webpage. Last year, the district donated $20,000 to PMAEF to support its mission of enhancing the supply of skilled workers by supporting and developing training and education programs and by improving the public image and awareness of careers in metalforming.
