CLEVELAND, OH—October 14, 2026—The Precision Metalforming Association Educational Foundation (PMAEF), in partnership with 15 local districts of the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), is accepting applications for its 2027 Scholarship and Tooling Award Program. Awards range from $500 to $3,000.

Launched in 2020, the program supports the development of the next generation of manufacturing talent by providing financial assistance to students and apprentices pursuing careers in metalforming and manufacturing fields.

Applicants must be a high school senior or formally enrolled in a post-secondary metalforming/manufacturing/technology/engineering program; trades job training/apprenticeship; or a machining, CNC, tool and die, welding or stamping certificate program at an accredited institution with 20 or more contact hours.

In 2026, PMAEF and PMA districts awarded $52,500 in scholarships to 35 individuals. Since the program launched in 2020, more than $277,000 has been awarded to help students and apprentices pursue careers in manufacturing.

“Developing the next generation of manufacturing talent is one of the most important investments we can make,” said Connie King, PMAEF executive director. “Through our partnership with PMA districts, we can help students and apprentices access the education and training they need to build rewarding careers in manufacturing. We look forward to supporting another group of talented individuals in 2027.”

Those interested in applying can find eligibility requirements and application details on the PMAEF website. Applications must be submitted by January 31, 2027.

Established in 1996, the PMA Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to the promotion and development of a skilled workforce for the metalforming industry. PMAEF operates as a supporting organization to the Precision Metalforming Association, the full-service trade association representing the $137-billion metalforming industry of North America.
