The PMA Southeast District’s press maintenance and safety presentation and plant tour at Spartanburg Steel Products had all the right ingredients for a sold-out event: a stamping plant tour with practical technical insight, networking and food, affordable and timely!

Southeast managed to pack a whole lot of value into a short four hours. Attendees went behind the scenes of a leading manufacturer of a wide range of stampings and complex assemblies, including post paint assembly, deep draw stamping, nonferrous material components and a variety of assembly processes. They also took in practical insight on press safety and maintenance from Jeff Fredline, PMA Southeast District Officer, Consultant and PMA Signature Speaker. And they had time to share ideas and connect at the networking lunch.
Plant tours alone are one of the most cost-effective ways to gain industry perspective for new and experienced employees alike. When combined with practical know-how and networking, the way Southeast did and so many PMA districts do, you get an exceptional and affordable learning experience that can benefit employee onboarding, training, and even retention.
Coming up on October 25, the Southeast District and Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products will be hosting a plant tour in celebration of Ulbrich’s 100-year anniversary. Registration is free but space is limited. The event takes place the day before the PMA Automotive Parts Suppliers Conference in Greenville, SC. For registration information, contact Erin Peterman at 216-901-8800 x116.
