Praanav is a highly motivated student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with a concentration in automotive engineering and a Master of Science in engineering management at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Through coursework in manufacturing concepts and extensive hands-on experience through internships and applied projects, Praanav is building a solid foundation for a career in advanced manufacturing. As a project engineering intern at United States Gypsum Corporation, he regularly used the SolidWorks Simulation Suite to perform finite element analyses and optimize ceiling grid components. At Rose-Hulman, he designed an injection-molded case for the Ronin Camera system and worked on the Formula SAE team optimizing chassis and braking components using MATLAB and ANSYS R1. He also led the design of an electric vehicle battery pack in the Stellantis-Argonne Labs-DOE Battery Workforce Challenge, developing a cold plate for thermal management and has earned certification as a MathWorks Computer Vision Engineer. These experiences have sharpened his skills in design, simulation and process optimization, directly preparing him for a future in the metalforming and automotive industries.
Praanav’s long-term goal is to drive innovation in automotive manufacturing with a focus on electric vehicles. He hopes to lead advancements in sustainable manufacturing processes by blending his engineering and management training to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
