Join us for PMA’s Quality Professionals Roundtable! Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange views, share experiences, discuss new quality system requirements and methodologies with peers, establish relationships and receive information on new quality standards and technology.

The ISO/TS requirements for process definitions and the connected metrics are now part of the Quality Management Systems for most companies.  In the 1990's, Integrated Process Management gave us Type 2 Fishbones. Key Output Variables, Key Input Variables, process measurements/standards and feedback.  Connecting these 2 concepts will make a very powerful quality management tool.

SPEAKERS

John Cachat, Business Development Executive, Harrington Group International 
JohnJohn Cachat is a business development executive, with more than 40 years of experience in operational excellence and enterprise quality management. Cachat focused his career on reducing costs and reducing risk with business improvements via supply chain enterprise information systems, specifically focusing on the strategy for leveraging existing investment in ERP, PLM, MES, CRM, QMS and other legacy systems.

Cachat was the chairman and founder of an international quality management software company founded in 1988, which was started as a commercial spin-off from a Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) Technology Modernization grant. Cachat holds a MSIE degree from Texas A&M University. Cachat also holds a BSIE degree from Kettering University (General Motors Institute) and was awarded achievements in both the Entrepreneur of the Year and Outstanding Management Achievement awards.

Wayne DeMarco, Industry Quality Consultant
Wayne Wayne DeMarco, MBA, CQE (ASQ retired), is a retired business professional who had a working career that spanned 46 years with the last 33 years in the quality management field. He spent 40 years in the steel business working for Republic, LTV and ArcelorMittal Steel, four years working for the Maynard Company as a quality manager, and one year with the General Electric Audio Electronics Products Department building stereo systems. Wayne was also a trained lead auditor for TS16949:2016, TS 16949:2005, and QS-9000. Additionally, he has also taught the Certified Quality Refresher Class for the Cleveland ASQ Chapter since 2005 and has taught other quality classes for the Polaris Career Center.

FACILITATOR

Mark Netzel, Vice President of Quality, Die-Matic Corporation
Mark Mark Netzel, vice president of quality at Die-Matic Corp., has more than 30 years of manufacturing quality assurance/control experience, working as a press operator, quality inspector, quality engineer, quality manager, director and vice president. He has been involved with quality systems development, root cause/corrective action development and all aspects of manufacturing quality from company objectives, strategic planning and employee training, among others.

Mark has served as the education chair for the Cleveland Section of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) since 2000 and has worked as a course instructor in many areas. He spoke at the ISO World Conference in 2018 as well as at FABTECH 2019. Mark holds eight different quality certificates through ASQ, as well as associate’s degrees in Business Management and Purchasing Management/Supply Chain.
