Early Arrivals Meet and Greet at Ole Red

The winter storm couldn’t stop conference attendees from getting to Nashville and taking part in an early arrivals reception on famous Broadway! Live music from some of Nashville’s brightest stars, great food and drinks, and company provided a great start to the conference.

Day One
Opening the conference for the second year in a row, Laurie Harbour provided a snapshot of the current state of the industry, best practices for continuous improvement and a forecast for 2024. Laurie is one of PMA’s top speakers and her expertise in data collection and analysis provides metalformers with critical information needed to stay ahead of the competition.

After Laurie, we heard presentations covering transfer simulation technology, automation in the press shop, lubrication consolidation, progressive die tips and welding for higher-strength steels. The first day of the conference concluded with a networking reception which allowed attendees to visit with the conference exhibitors and sponsors.

Day Two
The next day started by hearing from J.B. Chronister of Cleveland-Cliffs Inc., who discussed the impact of modern steel grades on the science and art of metal stamping.

After J.B., attendees finished off the conference with presentations on digital sheet metal forming, servo presses and tooling information systems.

Looking Ahead to 2025
The Metal Stamping Technology Conference always delivers the best technical information on the metalforming industry. Nashville did not disappoint and we are heading back to the Music City in 2025 on January 28-29.
