The PMA Southeast District is hosting an event on Thursday, June 8, at Spartanburg Steel Products Inc., located in Spartanburg, SC.

Learn from PMA Southeast District Officer and Consultant, Jeff Fredline, as he presents on the topic of press maintenance and safety. Additionally, take a tour of Spartanburg Steel, a major supplier of metal stampings and welded subassemblies to OEMs throughout North America.

This event includes lunch, a presentation and a plant tour.

Jeff Fredline, Prestrade, Consultant to Metal Stamping and Forging Industries
Jeff Jeff is an active member of the Precision Metalforming Association, serving on the Southeast and Tennessee District Boards. He is a well-known speaker at both PMA and FIA technical training seminars as well as FABTECH. Jeff trains on a private basis for many industry leaders, and some of his clients have included General Motors, Chrysler, Whirlpool, and General Electric.

Jeff will present a condensed version of his popular seminar for operators, die setters, engineers and maintenance personnel. The presentation will cover:

  • How to maximize uptime, even with less-than-perfect machinery
  • The Theory of the Box
  • Safe metal stamping press operations
  • A full understanding of the design and use of metal stamping processes
  • Efficient and practical preventive maintenance inspection procedures
