Welcome to Leadership & Mentoring Academy

Structured mentoring has been proven to be extremely impactful in supporting metalforming professionals in their professional journeys. PMA has created the Leadership and Mentoring Academy (LMA) to support the next generation of metalforming leadership and allow veteran industry professionals to share their expertise and insight.

Mentoring is a win-win-win situation, as it helps the “mentee" become more proficient at his or her job, it is good for the mentor to “give back" by sharing wisdom and it helps the industry by developing well-rounded, knowledgeable professionals. Mentoring is a powerful complement to training and it addresses the qualitative and subjective parts of a metalforming professional’s job.

The year-long LMA program begins in January 2017, and benefits the mentee and mentor as well as the companies affiliated with participating individuals. Our aim is to retain talent in the metalforming industry and support them as they advance.
